Emma is a Legal Director and Head of our Construction team.
Emma has 20 years experience specialising in all aspects of complex development and construction projects from procurement stage through to completed developments. Emma drafts and advises on all types of construction and engineering contracts (bespoke and industry standard forms, e.g. JCT, NEC, PFI/PPP/MIM), consultants’ appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees.
She has extensive experience of frameworks, including SEWSCAP, SWWRCF, DFE and Southern Construction Framework and an in-depth knowledge of two-stage tendering and call-off contracts. She also advises on risk management and dispute avoidance throughout the life-cycle of projects.
Emma was previously a Partner and head of non-contentious Construction at Clarke Willmott in Bristol, prior to spending 10 years as in-house counsel for Bouygues UK, where she was responsible for all projects bid and built by the Birmingham, Midlands, Wales and West region, which had an annual turnover of up to £250 million.
