Advising Orbital Internet Group on £multi-million deal with Mobeus Equity Partners
Orbital Internet Group Limited, the independent Internet Services Provider with a particular focus on the Kent region and the UK Holiday Park sector, has attracted a £multi-million investment from Mobeus Equity Partners.
Capital’s corporate team, led by Tom Kelleher and Jordan Thomas, advised Orbital’s shareholders on the deal.
The funding from Mobeus will:
- fast track Orbital’s rollout of ultrafast fibre broadband, especially in rural areas of Kent, to meet the surge in data consumption and demand for high bandwidth capacity;
- position the business to become a leading Internet Service Provider for Holiday Parks in the UK; and
- develop its bespoke B2B technology service offerings.
Darren Brown, CEO of Orbital Internet Group, said:
“We would like to thank Tom, Jordan, and the rest of the Capital team for their support on this transaction. It’s been a refreshing change to work alongside such pragmatic and sensible lawyers. We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work and efforts, and they played a significant role in helping the Orbital group reach this latest milestone.”
Jordan Thomas, Associate in Capital’s corporate team, added:
“Orbital is a longstanding business run by a skilled and knowledgeable management team, making it an attractive proposal for private equity backing. We really enjoyed working with the Orbital team to secure the investment from Mobeus, and we’re confident the partnership will drive the business further with its aim of becoming one of the leading internet service providers to UK holiday parks.”
