Advising Averroes Capital on MBO of Journey Hospitality
Private equity firm Averroes Capital has invested in Journey Hospitality, a provider of unique software solutions for the hotel and hospitality sector.
Capital Law’s Corporate team (led by Tom Kelleher, working alongside Gareth Williams-Davies, Jordan Thomas, Cerith Bevan, Hakeem Din and Alex Prothero) advised the Averroes team (comprising Simon Rowan, Frank Bulman, Beatrice Carrara and Jack Scott) on all legal aspects of the deal.
Averroes has invested alongside the management team who will continue to lead the business. As part of its investment, Averroes will support Journey Hospitality in strengthening the executive team and scaling the sales and operational capabilities to support growth. Averroes will also work with the business to further internationalise its customer base.
Simon Rowan, Partner at Averroes Capital, said:
We are delighted to have completed our investment in Journey Hospitality. Capital’s support and pragmatic advice throughout the process was invaluable in driving the transaction towards a successful close. With this being Averroes’ first investment, it was hugely beneficial to us to be able to call upon their experience and expertise, and we look forward to working with them again.
Tom Kelleher, Partner at Capital Law, said:
