Partnerships

We have well-established partnerships across the globe, building new professional connections cross-sector and working with industry leaders. We value our community partnerships, from sponsorships to working with local businesses and charities.

International networks

We’re lawyers and consultants, but we’re also linguists – fluent in many world languages. We’re able to work with, and understand, different cultures, so we are sensitive to the nuances of doing business around the world. This diversity enables us to support you regionally, nationally and globally.

We’re active members of worldwide networks; Consulegis, China Collaborative Group and GBL Alliance. We have international desks that can provide you with speedy and direct access to the global support you need. Our desks are home to lawyers who come from, or are intimately familiar with, the countries they represent. Many are native language speakers, and all have a sound understanding of the legal systems in their countries.

Working with local businesses to enhance our spaces

Over the past year we’ve been refitting our HQ, Capital Building. During this project, we partnered with a number of local businesses, that understood our core values and key project principles such as sustainability, to complete this project in a short time.

Last year, it also became clear we had outgrown our Holborn office. We worked closely with Anton Page who found us the perfect space in Clerkenwell. It’s a great location for many reasons, but the connectivity piece with Cardiff enables all our colleagues to travel to both our locations with ease should they need to meet with clients or catch up with colleagues.

Hear from our Head of Office Operations, Meg Dobbs on all the key partnerships that made these projects a success.

Cardiff City Womens

For two years, we have sponsored Cardiff City Football Club Womens and worked closely with the team to share player stories and enhance coverage for the women’s game in Wales.

Our partnership with CCFC is long established. Our Sports team first started working with CCFC over 10 years ago. In mid-2022, CCFC reached out to Rebecca Mahon, Senior Associate in our Employment Team as they wanted to make Cardiff City FC Women a professional team, the first full women’s squad to become professional in Wales.

After a few months of back and forth, the template was approved by the FAW, just in time for the start of the 2023/24 season. It was great to see the CCFCW players signing up to our contracts, wearing their shirts sponsored by Capital Law, and to hear what the contracts meant to them.

Charity of the year

We’ve chosen LATCH Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity as our charity of the year for 2024. LATCH supports the children and their families who are being treated by the Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Wales.

LATCH is most well known for its on-Site Family Accommodation at the University Hospital of Wales, which consists of eight hotel-standard bedrooms that are offered to families free of charge and helps keep families together during their child’s stay in hospital.
