We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive training session hosted by renowned sports law specialists.

Following a sharp increase in Clubs being penalised for breaches of FAW Regulations, we invite you to participate in join us for a Football Conference hosted by Jason Mohammad, BBC Sport’s Correspondent, with speakers including leading Sport Counsel Nick De Marco KC and Senior Legal Counsel at the FAW, Nick Lewis. Following insights and tips from the members of the panel, you will be invited to participate in a Q&A. A drinks reception will follow for networking.

The session will be 2h-2h30 followed by drinks and canapes in Capital Bar from 5:30 for a couple of hours.

It is free to attend and a maximum of two representatives per Club is allowed.

Speakers

Nick Lewis – Senior Legal Counsel at FAW – Nick has worked for the FAW since 2022 and has acted on their behalf in several cases. He will give the audience the opportunity to understand how the FAW arrive at decisions and advice as to how Clubs can remain compliant with the Regulations.

Nick De Marco KC – Nick is often described as the “Lionel Messi of Sports Law”. He is the UK’s leading lawyer when it comes to football law and has acted on behalf of over 45 clubs in the English football league system. Alongside this, Nick has also chaired Disciplinary Panels in Wales and therefore has first-hand experience of interpreting FAW Regulations and arriving at a decision.

Celine Jones – Partner and Head of Sports at Capital Law – Celine has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for her clients which includes, amongst others, clubs that have played in the Premier League, EFL Championship and the various different Cymru Leagues. She has acted in various high-profile Sports law cases and regularly appears before domestic disciplinary panels on behalf of Clubs.

Jason Mohammad – BBC Sports Correspondent – Jason is a Welsh radio and television presenter currently working for the BBC.
