The learning partner scheme was launched by NEBOSH to help people recognise the learning providers who meet and exceed their learning excellence principles.
Capital People has achieved gold status – demonstrating it greatly exceeds the principles that represent global best practice in the provision of course tuition and support:
- Learner expectations
- Learning environment
- Quality of course materials
- Qualified tutors
- Learner support
- Delivery evaluation
This result demonstrates our continued commitment to helping others succeed and reflects “our way” of working – with approachability, integrity, boldness, excellence and clarity. It was made possible by the dedication and passion for teaching of our consultants, who strive to provide the very best learning experience for our delegates.
Mark Littlejohns, Health, Safety and Environment Director at Capital People, said:
“Achieving the gold status is great news, and we’re very thankful for NEBOSH’s recognition of the efforts we put in to deliver their certificate and diploma at the highest possible standard, in a friendly environment.
“They are intensive courses, so to help candidates learn and understand the material, our IOSH chartered trainers combine their training work with practical advisory and consultancy services. We use our industry and management experience to provide real life examples, which help delegates during the exam and allows them to make a real difference when they return to the workplace.
“Motivation is a key success factor for candidates, which is why we deliver training in a relaxed manner, encouraging interaction and involvement from all. For lunch, our on-site kitchen and dining area offers delegates free hot drinks on demand as well as a freshly cooked meal, and outside of courses, our students have access to trainers through email and telephone if they need any additional support.
“The time and commitment we devote to giving all our students the best chances to succeed is reflected in our excellent pass rates, and we’ve retained strong links with many of our students who have received promotions or were successful in securing new jobs.”
Holding a professional qualification can indeed make a considerable difference to the salary expectations of health and safety professionals. According to a recent NEBOSH Jobs Barometer, a NEBOSH health and safety qualification is specified in 90% of job advertisements in the UK, and at the top end of the profession, those required to hold a NEBOSH diploma earn on average 16% more than those in jobs where the Diploma wasn’t specified.
But achieving such qualifications isn’t only a legal and moral obligation and to help create a safe workplace, it also boosts efficiency and productivity – two key values for a successful business. With personnel who are trained in health and safety, businesses can make significant cost-savings by reducing employee accidents, litigations and absenteeism.
“Capital People have been fantastic in delivering a successful NEBOSH Construction Certificate for several members of our staff on our premises, going out of their way to accommodate delivery dates and structure to suit our needs. We approached Capital People for this course after a fantastic experience of a previous NEBOSH Diploma course, and yet again, their service and delivery were exceptional. I will certainly be looking to Capital People for future training.”

“The course was very well structured, thought out and relevant. It has certainly made me think! Nice, modern, comfortable environment in centre of Cardiff. Everyone was welcoming. The rooms used were comfortable and suitable. Compliments to the chef. The books were well structured and useful revision aids, and the past questions were a good way to revise and got you thinking practically about the various subjects.”
