UK’s fastest growing private hire technology platform, Veezu takes lease of new head office
Veezu has underpinned its rapid expansion by moving its headquarters to the heart of the Welsh capital.
Taking around 11,800 sq. ft of office space in the newly re-furbished Hodge House marks a significant milestone in the growth of the company and firmly cements its position as one of Wales’ cherished tech champions. The prestigious Hodge House recently underwent a £17 million refurbishment to transform the 110,000 sq ft office building.
As a longstanding client of the firm, we have supported Veezu over the years across the full spectrum of their legal needs. Our dedicated Owner & Occupier team, led by Partner, Hannah Vosper and supported by Emma Chapple, assisted Veezu to secure a space for their head office, ensuring they were able to accommodate their growth needs.
The lease involved complex requirements, including installation of a generator to ensure business continuity if the building ever lost power. DPP supported in respect of the planning element of the generator.
Having cemented their presence in their Welsh roots, Veezu continue to expand and innovate. They have recently been acknowledged at the prestigious Taxi Summit Awards where, after being shortlisted for eight categories, they came away with the Consolidator of the Year prize.
Robert Richardson, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Veezu, commented:
Capital Law’s expertise was invaluable in negotiating leases for more than 20 properties and facilitating our move to the new Veezu headquarters at Hodge House, Cardiff. Their professional and thorough approach ensured seamless property assignments, significantly benefiting our operations.
