Clare is a Principal Associate in our Commercial Disputes team – specialising in Property Disputes.
Clare acts for companies, individuals and third sector entities in a variety of property disputes including dilapidations, forfeiture, breach of covenant and trespass. She has significant experience acting for landlords and tenants, both commercial and residential, as well as developers and land owners.
Clare has a keen interest in the healthcare sector, and regularly advises GP partnerships on premises issues, including disputes regarding payments pursuant to the Premises Costs Directions.
Clare also advises on general contractual disputes, with particular expertise in employee and shareholder breaches of restrictive covenants and complex IT disputes arising.
Clare is the current President for the Cardiff and District Law Society and the Chair for South Wales Forum for Tomorrow Committee.

Successfully advising a GP partnership in a dispute regarding the notional rent reimbursement it should receive following the relocation of its premises, and obtaining a decision from NHS Resolution that resulted in a £700,000 payment the partnership.

Acting for a large logistics company in relation to a multi-million pound dilapidations claim against an outgoing tenant.
GP Practice 15-year dispute
Successfully assisting a GP practice in resolving a 15-year dispute with its health board regarding unpaid occupational fees owed to it.
