Ellie is a Senior Associate in our Corporate and Private Equity team.
Ellie trained with Capital and worked as an associate in a large Bristol based firm for 4 years before re-joining Capital in 2025.
Ellie advises on various corporate transactions including acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations and investments as well as general corporate governance issues.
Recent work
The work below was carried out by Ellie Shanahan prior to her re-joining Capital Law:
- Advising the founder shareholders of a leading executive search and interim management firm on the sale to a PE fund.
- Advising a London listed income fund on its new long term strategic partnership with a UK based infrastructure fund via a new joint venture.
- Advising various renewable energy companies on disposals and acquisitions of renewable energy SPVs.

- Advising WestBridge on the MBO of Equ2, Aptus Utilities and AJM Healthcare.
- Advising the Development Bank of Wales on their investment in Cufflink.
- Advising WestBridge on the sale of Linkfresh.
