Retained Partnerships

Bespoke retained partnerships, priced accordingly to the level of support you desire.

Health and safety law is complex, but our consultants have the skills, knowledge and experience to act proficiently as your health and safety ‘competent person’.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999) help to implement the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) which sets the framework for occupational health and safety in the UK. The Health and Safety at Work Act is an enabling act, produced to promote and regulate workplace health and safety, imposing general duties on employers and minimise risks to employees.

More specifically, Regulation 7 of The Management Regulations states that all employers are required to appoint one or more ‘competent persons’. The role of a competent person is to help businesses undertake the measures they need to comply with the relevant statutory provisions. The competent person(s) must have time and resources available to fulfil their functions and be provided with the necessary information. Our consultants hold expert qualifications like the NEBOSH Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Safety Law, and are members of organisations like IOSH, IIRSM and APS, ensuring upmost competency and specialist knowledge. Overall, this regulation underscores the need for expertise and adequate support to maintain a safe working environment. A partnership with Capital ensures you are fulfilling your legal requirement to appoint a competent person.

  • Mark and his team have been a tremendous support to our business, giving us the peace of mind of a complete Health and Safety solution for our company.

Guiding us through policies and procedures to risk assessments, inspecting and keeping us up to date with legislation, advising on and where necessary carrying out training, along with ad hoc advice to myself and all members of our team when we need it.

  • I would highly recommend Capital people as they are extremely professional and incredibly helpful.

When I became a Health & Safety Advisor in 2019, I relied on them a great deal to grow in confidence and experience.

I am now more independent, with a better subject knowledge, I know that if I do have any concerns I can phone or email and I will always get advice and support.
