Our team is skilled at handling public law litigation, including judicial reviews, acting for public body defendants as well as claimant individuals and organisations.

We appreciate the need for public bodies to think strategically, and to balance competing factors such as the need for a robust response to the immediate challenge, the importance of maintaining confidence in the fairness and transparency of their procedures, and the duty to protect public funds.

We also understand the significant impact that decisions of public authorities can have on individuals and organisations, and the capacity judicial review can have to effect change, seek transparency and ensure accountability.

We will work with you both at pre-action stage and/or after proceedings have been issued. We will advise you on litigation strategy, provide clear, pragmatic risk assessments, and always be mindful of the financial and other costs of litigation.

Our team brings a wealth of public law litigation knowledge and experience, including from within Welsh and Central Government. We have acted for professional bodies such as the British Medical Association as well as regulators including the Gambling Commission and Solicitors Regulation Authority.
